Independence

We are an independent company with no undisclosed shares or interests in third parties and never enter into any relationship or commitment which could jeopardize our independence.

Every client and engagement is approached in an objective and impartial manner. We build relationships with our business partners based on trust, objectivity and impartiality while simultaneously complying with relevant legislation and our ethical principles.

Professional Skills

We are dedicated to the ongoing education and professional training of our specialists through their participation in professional associations, attending specialized educational seminars and the study of relevant professional literature. We are members of the well-recognized Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, which demands its members meet strict requirements in the fields of ethics, professionalism and expertise.

Discretion, Privacy and Confidentiality

We are aware that our clients place absolute trust in us. As we hold that trust in high regard, we are strongly dedicated to professionalism in the processing and backing up of client data and the protection of such sensitive information against potential misuse. Every Surveilligence employee is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all information regardless of whether they received it directly from our clients or became privy to it during the course of their work.

In order to stimulate long-term business relationships, we place a great value on strong relationships not only with our clients but with third parties as well including business partners and associate organizations. We are constantly aware of our obligations towards our employees, clients, business partners and third parties and realize that an honest and fair attitude regarding the development of our business activities is essential for the long-term sustainability of our business.

Conflicts of Interest and Corrupt Practices

At all times, we strive to prevent any conflicts of interest which could arise between our employees and clients, business partners and other third parties. We consider corrupt practices to be unacceptable and our mission is to contribute to the fight against corruption and financial crime.

Our code of ethics

Trust, professionalism, reliability and ethical conduct form the core of our activities. We abide by the code of ethics of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), which sets forth the following key points:

  • We shall, at all times, demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and diligence in the performance of our duties.
  • We shall not engage in any illegal or unethical conduct, or any activity which would constitute a conflict of interest.
  • We shall, at all times, exhibit the highest level of integrity in the performance of all professional assignments and will accept only assignments for which there is reasonable expectation that the assignment will be completed with professional competence.
  • We will comply with lawful orders of the courts and will testify to matters truthfully and without bias or prejudice.
  • We, in conducting examinations, will obtain evidence or other documentation to establish a reasonable basis for any opinion rendered. No opinion shall be expressed regarding the guilt or innocence of any person or party.
  • We shall not reveal any confidential information obtained during a professional engagement without proper authorization.
  • We will reveal all material matters discovered during the course of an examination which, if omitted, could cause a distortion of the facts.
  • We shall continually strive to increase the competence and effectiveness of professional services performed under his or her direction.
